MVP of the week — Featuring Jimmy Choo and Louis Vuitton

Welcome to HUNGER’s Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what’s hot, what’s not, and what needs to be on your radar…

Sydney Sweeney may be having a landmark career on-screen – bringing back the beloved rom-com with Anyone But You and showing off her dramatic acting chops in Immaculate – but for her next role, she’s heading out onto the open road with Jimmy Choo. The campaign, shot by photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch, sees Sweeney embark on a typically all-American road trip featuring the actress in a number of locations including a gas station, in the middle of a busy road, or inside a retro photo booth in the middle of a desert. The star shows off several fresh summer-ready looks from the British label, including Western-inspired Cece Mules, the Amel drop heels, as well as Cinch bags in latte leather and pink and brown cow print. Check out the campaign imagery below.

Next up, FARM Rio, Adidas and Brazilian female soccer team Flamengo have reunited for a new collection, celebrating the Rio team in style. In their latest collaboration, the brands are coming together once again to create memories of affection and football. The new collection is part of the celebration of FARM and Adidas’s 10-year anniversary, which will feature various drops throughout 2024. FARM’s original prints and the iconic three stripes celebrate unique creations over the decade, merging Brazilian colourfulness with urban energy. The FARM + Adidas + Flamengo Team products will be available starting April 16 on the website, app, and selected FARM stores.

As the weather (slowly) transitions into something more bearable, it’s the ideal time of year for a humble city break. With that in mind, if you’re in need of any inspiration, Berlin is as good a shout as any thanks to its abundance of nightlife (attempting to gain access to the Berghain is something everyone needs to experience once) and culture. Of course, choosing your destination is the easy part – it’s the accommodation that’s always tricky. Thankfully, The Hoxton has recently opened its doors in West Berlin’s effortlessly chic Charlottenburg neighbourhood, marking the brand’s German debut in style. Located just steps away from the capital’s renowned shopping avenue Ku’damm, the hotel offers 234 rooms; The Teahouse, a charming corner café which transforms into an intimate cocktail bar as the sun sets; House of Tandoor, a North Indian-inspired restaurant serving up family style, spice-filled dishes and natural wines; and a cosy fireside Winter Garden set within the hotel’s expansive, open-house lobby. Each of the bedrooms are defined by Art Nouveau forms and expressive design details, inspired by classical structures in the neighbourhood’s architectural landscape and arrive in seven categories: Shoebox, Cosy, Cosy Neighbourhood, Roomy, Roomy Twin, Biggy and Biggy Up, all of which feature all the classic Hox touches including Roberts radios, Naturalmat mattresses and the famous neighbourhood survival guides.
