Dior’s Spring 2013 Campaign

Under the artistic direction of Raf Simons, Dior’s Spring 2013 campaign offers a new language for the Parisian brand; one in which a supply of surrealism and minimalism are juxtaposed agains the modern day elegance Simons’ frothed up so brilliantly during his inaugural presentation last September. Cleverly shot by Willy Vandeperre, the direction of this campaign identifies the classic but futuristic nature of the new Christian Dior woman (A world away from Galliano’s theatrical creations). Shot against a dream white background, Raf keeps things simple – cameos of flowers, shapes and Magritte type clouds take form, but the impact of Raf’s glorious achievements remain. Yes, Christian Dior’s Spring 2013 campaign premieres a new language – one in which the clothes do most of the talking.
