Turning heads is not something unfamiliar for the British supermodel and fashion icon Kate Moss. However in Stuart Weitzman’s debut short film, “Made For Walking” she is turning heads for a different reason.

Not due to her status (which arguably does play a large part) but because of what she’s wearing on her feet, or should we say legs? As part of his AW13 collection, the model and face of the brand’s current campaign dons three pairs of over the thigh boots whilst roaming the streets of London. And what’s more, we get the rare experience of hearing the quintessential London girl speak as she steps out of a black cab.

The boots are simple, yet make a statement, something that the designer has become known for throughout the 80 countries he distributes and sells to. Teamed with Kate’s effortlessly cool and enviable persona they make the outfit. Although the film is set against a slightly obvious soundtrack, the song, ‘These Boots Are Made For Walking’ is given a 60’s makeover by Kari Kimmel and adds a Factory Girl, pop art feel, with the black and white overlay serving to emphasise this.

Made For Walking was directed by Balthazar Klarwein and premiered last night at Milan Fashion Week, shown in conjunction with the opening of the brand’s new flagship store in the city.
