Dior’s iconic 00s saddle bag is making a comeback

Along with tinted specs, a pink Motorola Razr and Louis Vuitton monogrammed luggage (Joan Collins-style): Dior’s saddle bag was the ‘It’ accessory of the early 2000s. Designed by then Creative Director of Dior John Galliano in 1999, the style quickly reached cult status; propelled into the limelight by numerous celebrity fans from Beyoncé to Sex and the City’s Carrie Bradshaw.

For Dior’s fall/winter 18 show Maria Grazia Chiuri looked to the bygone era, revisiting the iconic arm candy for the next-gen who missed it the first time around. The new Dior Saddle bag will be launching globally in Dior boutiques today, and to celebrate the launch the fashion house has asked 100 digital influencers to post images of the bag at exactly the same time and day. Here’s hoping Paris Hilton (aka reigning queen of the noughties) is on that list…
