[I]t’s not often a song gets a viral dance move before the video is even out, but this is 2018 so anything can happen. Drake’s Scorpion hit, ‘In My Feelings’, started a wild #InMyFeelingsChallenge across social media with the help of online sensation Shiggy. The “Kiki do you love me?” smash single now has a satirical video to match, directed by Karena Evans – the talented woman behind all four videos from Drake’s latest album.
Set in New Orleans, we see Drake begging for Kiki, played by La La Anthony, alongside Phylicia Rasahd as her mum, City Girls’ Yung Miami, Big Freedia and of course – the man, the meme, the legend – Shiggy. With dancers shakin it all over New Orleans, we see Drake trying to win over his dream girl Kiki, much to the dismay of the hilarious Rasahd. Wrapping up with an unexpected finale, the Canadian rapper rounds up the best of the Internet’s challenge videos, from Will Smith’s iconic take to the Queer Eye guys, the Stranger Things kids to Ciara.
