[T]yne’s new single, “Fight for Me To Stay” exclusively played for the first time below, is a three-minute trip through multiple worlds. The post-pop production threatens at times to descend into an EDM madness, the lyrics describe a broken relationship, Tyne’s vocals are effortless and compelling. The result is a track that never goes quite where you expect it to and that slots perfectly into 2018’s progressive pop scene and delivers an emotional jolt to the senses at the same time.
The 19-year-old cites low-key, conceptual songwriters Elliot Moss and Sufjan Stevens as major influences but also has an interest in stationery and chooses time over money every time.
