A first look at Dilara Findikoglu’s creepy-cool fashion installation

Twisted glamour.

[D]ark fantasy, femme fetishism and gothic queens ruling the runway; rebel designer Dilara Findikoglu is going against the grain. Since graduating from Central Saint Martin’s in 2016, the boundary-pushing Turkish designer has established herself as one of fashion’s most exciting young talents; putting her part glam, part ghoulish twist on power dressing.

Never one to play by the rules, Findikoglu has created an alt fashion-meets-art installation, on display at Selfridges from April 16th. The space will feature archive DF pieces – as well as looks from her SS18 collection “worn” by seven creepy dolls donning wigs by Anthony Turner and sitting on deconstructed thrones by artist William Farr.
