Since the 2012 release of Reservation the buzz around fierce female rapper Angel Haze has been steadily building.

With the release of her debut album looming on the horizon, the first single has been dropped today. ‘Echelon (It’s My Way)’ is available for download on 14th October.

Produced by Markus Dravs (Arcade Fire, Coldplay) it demonstrates a move to a sound that, rather than pandering to, is slightly more aware of mainstream ears. The verses capture Haze’s signature growl, spitting about her rise to success, but the chorus practically floats against its thick glitchy backdrop of production. It’s officially catchy.

With this new release, we’re even more excited for debut album, Dirty Gold. To get a bigger dose of Angel Haze in the meantime catch her at Dalston’s Birthdays where she’ll be headlining on 5th September.
