Balenciaga revives family portrait vibes for menswear ss18 campaign
Remember those shopping centre photo booths?
[R]emeber those family portraits you had done in some dusty corner of your local shopping centre? Well Balenciaga just brought them back. Demna Gvasalia’s Spring 2018 menswear campaign, features dappled blue backdrops, awkwardly placed potted plants, oversized jackets, acid wash jeans and actual families.
The Paris House announced last week that they would be combining their mens and womenswear schedules, a move which is pretty much the new normal since Burberry led the way last year. For now, though, menswear takes the spotlight at Balenciaga ahead of the brand’s runway return next month in Paris. Check out the nostalgic campaign below.
