Dan Smith is to “epic, cinematic, indie” band Bastille exactly what Miss Welch is to Florence and the Machine. The “ epic, cinematic, indie” band Bastille formed in 2011 when Dan – who has been told he looks like Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother and Nick Grimshaw – put up the single ‘Flaws’ up on Youtube, accompanied by a bootleg video from a Terrence Malick film. The response was so positive they re-released the single ‘Flaws’ “properly” alongside an official video filmed in Coney Island, New York. One year on and Bastille are gearing up to embark on a takeover of the music scene before their debut debut album, ‘Bad Blood’ is released in March. We’re treated to an exclusive acoustic performance of ‘Pompeii’ on the day of the single release.

Pre-order the album here.
