Bucket hats, blazers and bum bags: pushing boundaries at FENDI Men’s SS19

For SS19 Mens’, FENDI have taken it to the streets: featuring some of the ultimate sports luxe looks, bucket hats and bum bags alike, it’s a boundary pushing collection for 2019. Guest Artist Nico Vascellari has brought Silvia Venturini a fresh eye for the latest season, illustrated prints and logos pop throughout the collection. Vascellari’s obsession with fun anagrams and mythology shines through his art, transforming the FENDI logo to FIEND, and ROMA to AMOR with playful indifference. Reinterpreting the signature brand, Vascellari celebrates the ways you can play around with the recognisable: changing the dual FF into a naïve watercolour and clashing with the collection palette.

From “FF-tongued snakes, clawed frogs, and horned demons create mosaic patterns across Ready-To-Wear and Accessories, adorning embroidered patches, transfer print tees, satin shirting, and the new Men’s Peekaboo X-Lite bag”, there’s diverse creativity and powerful fun throughout. FENDI captured it all in a show set designed by Vascellari also: a blackout chamber where models walk through a trompe l’oeil Perpsex cave featuring motfis from his collaboration transformed into a kinetic neon sculpture. Fun, fresh and ever-immersive, FENDI brought us some major SS19 trends that we can’t wait to try. Take a look through the collection below and follow FENDI on Instagram here. Nico Vascellari’s inspiring exhibition ‘Revenge’ is on show at the Museo MAXXI in Rome until September 2nd 2018.
