London’s ultimate alternative festive destination, Winterville, is back this weekend and it’s better than ever. Last year they got us hooked with their hipster-tinged take on the holidays and this time around you can expect even more attractions.
Winterville is built like a town, with regulars propping up the local pub Bar Humbug and an Uptown and Downtown area hosting a number of street food favourites, including Crabbie Shack, Smokestak and Mother Clucker, keeping you fuelled up.
An outdoor ice rink, pantomime, ferris wheel and fairground provide some of the more traditional entertainment while Plonk Crazy Golf, The Moscow Circus and Backyard Cinema (showing Christmas classics and non-festive related screenings in a magical Winters Night Garden) are some of the more obvious departures from tradition, while the Dutch Spiegeltent will play host to cabaret, comedy and club nights.
On the opening weekend, the long running club night Bugged Out brings its Little Bugger party (replacing some of the usual techno with crowd-pleasing party tunes) to the Spiegeltent for four nights bringing a special guest each week.
Winterville is open daily from November 26th until December 23rd. Find out more here: winterville.co.uk
Bugged Out’s Little Bugger is at Winterville’s Spiegeltent every Friday, 7pm-10.30pm £5 entry.
