So the day has finally come Hunger fans – Issue 5 hits stores today.
And what can you expect from this brand spanking new edition? Well we’ve taken a slightly more serious approach and set out to explore ideas of revolution.
In his Editor’s letter Rankin commented, “Issue 5 is about those people who are constantly trying to make the world evolve and revolve through their approach – those who create the unexpected.”
Our four cover stars all embody this quality in their own ways. While Rebel Wilson carves out a new, unique path for female actresses in Hollywood, Chiwetel Ejiofor proves that he can never be pigeonholed, whether on stage or screen. Both talents are undoubtedly set for starry heights and thankfully for the most legitimate of reasons.
Representing music, Debbie Harry and Bryan Ferry are legends who not only revolutionised the music of their time but have managed to still remain relevant today.
Demonstrating the outstanding array of editorial shoots in this issue, this is the first time we’ve had a fashion hardback cover featuring Prada’s AW13 collection. Miuccia Prada is a designer who knows how to make every collection iconic and we celebrate her revolutionary approach to fashion with our 12-page Prada dedicated fashion story.
Injecting a little fun into proceedings is our ‘I Dare You’ series, where we quizzed some of the hottest young male actors on the scene including Rupert Grint, Jamie Campbell Bower, Jacob Anderson and Russel Tovey, bringing out their naughty sides.
And it’s all change here at Hunger. In case you haven’t noticed we’ve had a little makeover and gone through our own mini revolution. Whether you love or hate the new logo, at least you’re engaged and we’d rather not be boring.
Stay tuned as we release a few sneaky tasters of what’s inside the issue. But to get all the action go pick up a copy yourself!
