Now available: Raf Simons duct tape, £150

D.I.Y.

[I]n case you found that Supreme’s chopsticks or Saint Laurent’s roller heels didn’t appeal to your industrial DIY aesthetic, you can now buy Raf Simons branded duct tape. Officially part of the designer’s AW17 collection, the tape is an extension of recent seasons’ most provocative trend – appropriation of everyday, seemingly innocuous items. Balenciaga have done it with bikes, teddy bears and lighters.

The tape is now available at around £150 per roll (length unspecified) and is recommended for use as a makeshift belt as it was on Simons’ AW17 runway, where it cinched slogan sweaters at the waist. Watch the show below.
