Reconstructing fashion with collage art

By stylist Pierre-Alexandre Fillaire and LA artist Brian Burn.

[F]ashion imagery is typically employed for advertising. Whilst campaigns have the capacity to be original, creative and subversive, there is still a commercial consciousness that binds the work to reality. Artists, though, are given free rein, able to take pieces, logos or accessories out of context and present them as part of their own reconstructed versions of fashion.

See the collaborative work of LA artist Brian Burn and stylist Pierre-Alexandre Fillaire who have created spooky, abstract interpretations of looks from Dior Homme, Givenchy and Louis Vuitton for an alternative take on what we see on the runway.
