An innovator who broke waves when she immigrated from Japan in the early 80s, Michiko Koshino brought a new way of thinking about the fashion industry. Rising to fame in the 90s club scene – David Bowie and Stella McCartney were both big fans – in fact she dressed a generation. Michiko Koshino AW18 throws it back to the grunge of that era, with pops of bright vibrant palettes along with a new take on patent PVC and Patrick Bateman-esque frosted acrylics. A new 2018 subculture? We’ll take it.
