Two new Prince albums have been announced, featuring unreleased material

Prince4Ever.

[W]hen he passed, Prince reportedly left behind hours and hours of unreleased material. A relentless genius, the Purple One’s stash of recordings has been referenced as the mysterious “vault”. The public’s first insight into that catalogue will arrive on November 22nd, when Prince4Ever is released by the singer’s estate.

As well as many classics – “Raspberry Beret”, “When Doves Cry” and “Little Red Corvette” to name a few – the album will also contain as unreleased song called “Moonbeam Levels”. There will be visual exclusives too, with a never-before-seen booklet of images taken by Herb Ritts.

Another album, a deluxe version of Purple Rain, will arrive in early 2017 will come with an entire second disc of previously unheard material, though details of song titles and potential collaborators are yet to be announced.

Prince’s legacy was never in doubt – this treasure trove of unreleased work will only make his place is history more assured.
