Hi Wei, what do you like to take photos of?

I love to use my camera to capture the freedom, reality and creativity of youth nowadays.

What does Beijing have that no-where else does?

Beijing has this unique culture and nowhere else has. Plus the delicious food.

Why do you prefer to shoot 35mm?

The uncertainty and imperfectness of the result from 35mm shows the reality of a photography. Similar to the reality of youth nowadays

Tell us about a photograph you’ve seen that had a strong impact on you

It a a photo I saw recently by Coco Capitan for Dazed magazine. The photo was shot at night, with blue moonlight in the background. The model is wearing a red oversized sweater and the light is just enough to light up his face. The strong contrast between the red and blue create a strong feeling of isolation. The whole photo is clean without much editing. I like it because it really calms me down and I can look at it for a long time.

What’s the best Instagram account that you follow?

@nasa

What do you want to achieve in 2017 ?

I’ll just do whatever makes me happy.

Nice. Thanks Wei!
