We hung out with supermodel Jordan Kale Barrett
Fashion's golden boy.
[L]ooking halfway between a young lion and gilded River Phoenix, Jordan Kale Barrett is one of the most memorable models to have broken the scene (and a fair share of the internet) since being scouted at fourteen years old. Far flung from his native Byron Bay on the Gold Coast of Australia, Jordan travels the world with his career and has a penchant for sharing his antics to his hundreds of thousands of fans.
We hung out in London to get to know him better. If you don’t already, follow him @iblamejordan.
Hey Jordan, what’s the wildest shoot you’ve ever done?
Oh fuck, I don’t know. Probably the Mert and Marcus shoot in LA. It was a W story, they were shooting about 25 of us. It was basically a giant party, throwing cake around this big arse mansion in Silverlake. Somebody was fucking a disco ball. It was Anna Cleveland.
Favourite item of clothing?
Trackpants? Andrew Richardson. I’m always wearing his orange ones. Comfy as fuck.
What kind of things to people DM you on Instagram?
Gnarly shit really. Lots of birthday requests. A lot of nudity, a lot of nakedness, from both men and women. It’s constant too, haha. Everyday!
Who’s your favourite model?
Kate?
What’s Knot On My Planet?
Knot on my Planet is a campaign to support the Elephant Crisis Fund. Doutzen Kroes launched it and it’s raising money and awareness. Basically I’m trying to get as many kids as possible to take their parents credit cards and donate! I really like elephants! I’m looking at safari holidays for Christmas.
What’s the biggest misconception about modelling?
I don’t know what other people really think about it, but I get to meet and work with the most creative and coolest people everyday doing what I do.
Have they fucked with one of your campaigns yet?
No, not yet!
Who runs the account?
It’s anonymous.
Is it you?
Haha no!
Cool, Thanks Jordan!
