Big Deal Hunger TV mixtape by The Hunger on Mixcloud

With a grounding in grunge and a notable intimacy in their act, this not so new duo have been making their way up the indie ranks since 2011 after releasing their debut album Lights Out.

Formed of Kacey Underwood and Alice Costelloe, the pair can currently be found performing around the country on their Gloom tour and a whole boatload of seriously fantastic songs to share. The lyrics and melodies may be intense but there is an apparently lighter side to this interesting couple (that may or may not be dating) who split their time between London and California and have somehow managed to successfully infuse both musical cultures into their distinctly Seattle circa 1992 sound. We delved a little deeper into their musical tastes and influences, asking them to compile some of their favourite tunes for our musical pleasure, and we’re pleased to say their selection most definitely did not disappoint!
