For any UK artist, their first appearance at the Brits is a surreal experience. No longer are you making music in your bedroom unaware of what the future holds – now you’re in the UK’s most iconic arena for the premier music awards show surrounded by global superstars and legendary names galore. And that’s just the experience that rising singer-songwriter Eljé had for the first time at this year’s ceremony.
Despite only a handful of releases under her name, Eljé has quickly cemented herself as one of the UK’s most promising talents thanks to her buttery-smooth vocals and dance-floor-filling viral tracks. The singer’s latest bouncy single, ‘See Through’, continues her upward trajectory through genre-bending sonics that range from R&B to UKG alongside a killer sample of Amerie’s ‘1 Thing’.
Below, we join Eljé as she takes us along for her first appearance at the Brits, from prepping for the ceremony to RAYE’s star-studded afterparty with captions from the artist herself…
Sat trying to look calm but I was actually really nervous as I never had my makeup done for an event before.

The dessert. I was so relieved to see some food in front of me. I almost passed out on the way as I had not eaten anything before the ceremony! We had to get the driver to stop off and my manager grabbed what he could find in the shop. Note to myself to always eat before these events!
