The British Fashion Council is celebrating the next gen of innovative creatives

A list of 50 talents have been selected by a panel of respected industry voices.

On October 30th, The British Fashion Council revealed its 2023 NEW WAVE: Creatives, a list of 50 influential young talents who play a pivotal role within the industry today. The list includes a selection of trailblazers from across multiple disciplines, including digital artists, casting agents, photographers, art directors and more. This year’s New Wave programme includes British makeup artist Alice Dodds, Ghanaian visual artist Sarfo Emmanuel, French photographer Lucie Rox and American art director Sandra Leko, to name just a few.

This year, voting began in July with the NEW WAVE: Creatives from 2022 – the previous year’s community directly influencing 2023’s outcome in support of their industry peers, while an influential industry panel decided on the final group of recipients for 2023. The panel featured some of the global fashion community’s most revered voices, including Amber Testino, Co-Owner of Art Partner; Bandana Tewari, Writer and Creative Director at Vogue India; Feng Chen Wang, Designer and Creative Director; John Rankin, Photographer & Director; Karla Welch, Celebrity Stylist; Samuel Ross, Doctor of Arts and Founder of A-COLD-WALL*.

The final 50 will be celebrated as part of The Fashion Awards (TFA) 2023, presented by Pandora on Monday, December 4th, at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
