10 questions with alt-pop dream girl Áine

As her Insta bio insists, it's pronounced awn-yah.

Rising Irish artist Áine’s music is just what we need right now: fun, powerful, and full of honesty. Dropping her latest truth ballad, ‘Blue Valentine’, it’s a sultry and witty take on a past relationship. In the accompanying video, the young artist showed her strength and skill in the playful visuals which she explained “shows things that we all would love to do out of frustration after a break up. Rather than being sad about it, do something to empower yourself. One of the most common things to do is change your hairstyle, dye it/cut it/shave it off, we included that but with a little twist…” We get to know the vibrant new star as she drops her debut EP, Blue Valentine, and to see where Áine’s off to next…

Music has been like my therapist in a way. I am the worst at opening up to people and telling people how I feel. So I do it through music instead. Music is my escape and my voice.

How about £100?

Probably on clothes or something, or maybe cheap flights somewhere.

What’s next for you?
