Having worked with the likes of Bonobo and Bondax, the artist is ready to bring her solo style to the forefront. For her new album, Life in Colour, out next February, Andreya has meshed her diverse influences and focused her mind on delving deep into the themes of womanhood and empowerment. Empowering, colourful and stompy.

Who’s your greatest influence?

Life oh life, oh life, oh life. Do do do do.

What does music mean to you?

I’ve had some of the greatest experiences of my life. I’ve meet the most inspiring beautiful people who I’m lucky enough to call friends and it all happened through my love and passion for music. Music is everything!

Who’s the last person you called?

My boyfriend.

What did you talk about?

Definitely laughing about complete crap that nobody else would understand [laughs].

One item of clothing you couldn’t live without?

High heels. Changes everything.

One album you couldn’t live without?

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. A masterpiece.

What’s your favourite way to spend £10

Definitely whack it on my Oyster card for London adventures.

How about £100?

Cocktails and a slap-up meal at Dishoom with the boyf.

What’s next for you?

My new album ‘Life In Colour’ is out next year and my launch show is happening in March. But for now, I’m learning how to DJ.
