10 Questions with Roses Gabor

Meet the artist making waves with her intensely soulful R&B...

London born to Grenadian parents, Roses Gabor was raised on the groove of new jack swing R&B, classic Stevie Wonder, soca and a bit of Capital FM blaring from her carpenter father’s van driving through the city. Blending together her diverse influences and inspirations, Roses found herself in music, and after a chance meeting with Gorillaz, it seemed music found her right back.

Describing the sense of fate and destiny that her lucky break surrounded her with, Roses Gabor explains that her music “relates to life…”, and her latest creation is as intimate as ever. Entitled Fantasy and Facts, due out in February 2019, she explains that the album stems from the desire for “the listener to lose themselves in this record – the fantasy – but it’s also about the facts of everyday life and relationships”. We caught up with the soulful star to find out the meaning of music, and what’s coming up next…
