2020’s Finest: HUNGER Moments

We round up our highlights of the year, from meeting noughties icons the Pussycat Dolls to playing dress-up with Margaret Qualley.

Sadly, we can’t exactly say that 2020 has been kind to us but we must admit, we’ve been kind to 2020. Making magazines in the middle of a pandemic wasn’t easy but, with the help of Google Docs, Zoom and a lot of caffeine, we were able to deliver some of our best work yet – even shooting the entirety of our Future Issue with no new clothes.

Their sizzling new single ‘React’ was the precursor for a string of major tour dates which would quench the thirst of fans who have waited a decade for their grand comeback – but sadly these were postponed. Good news though, they’re back on for next year!

Charity Shop Sue

For our SS20 issue, we travelled all the way to Bulwell in Nottingham to meet the world’s best charity shop manager, Sue Tuke, who you may or may not from her brilliant YouTube series, Charity Shop Sue. The fashion icon knows a thing or two about sustainability, so alongside a tour of her local town from Bulwell Bogs to the local chippy, Sue sat down with HUNGER to speak about how she plans to change the world…

Kim Petras

Woo-ah! Need we say more? The German-born singer-songwriter has well and truly solidified her position as the new princess of pop. With a string of bangers already under her belt, and a new album on the way, HUNGER travelled to LA to sit down with Kim and create this iconic cover moment in collaboration with Coach.
