Autumn has arrived, and while it’s set to get colder, the bonus is the season offers up a number of dreamy haircut trends for you to explore. Harsh fringes, luscious curls and slinky bobs are all in this season, and Tom Warr, the Creative / Academy Director at Blue Tit, is here to give you some serious inspo with his new editorial, ‘Revival’.
Here, Warr talks us through his era-spanning editorial, highlighting looks that are set to take over in the coming months.
This curly bi-level shag (below) can be achieved by creating shorter layers around the face and jaw, then by clipping the mid-lengths back to expose this triangular shape and disconnected jaw length areas. Diffused with a curl cream for another very wearable look!
My 80s Chelsea cut is achieved by completely disconnecting the hairlines and buzz-cutting the rest of the head with clippers. I then use a wax to create movement in the hairlines. I wanted to keep this vintage classic simple; less is more, which we are predicting to see in the A/W trends.
I love this creation; it’s a mix of a 60s heavy mop top with sharp, blunt oversized fringe contrasted with a little punk disconnected texture on top. This bold fringe resembles some of the immaculate tailoring in A/W trends.
This is my ‘micro stacked French bob’, which is achieved by drying in a medium hold mousse with a diffuser and then brushing out the stack from underneath. This bold but textured soft bob is a really wearable look, which we are predicting to be a big A/W trend.
