Alexander McQueen reveals new sneaker in ethereal ‘Sprint Runner’ film

Directed by award-winning director and visual artist Sophie Muller, Sprint Runner, features the sleek, eye-catching Sprint Runner sneaker which is worn by singer-songwriter and dancer, Mettenarrative.

The film is inspired by Mette’s fiercely beautiful physicality and is a showcase of expression and empowerment through clothing. Mette is seen interchangably lifting huge weights and effortlessly dancing in a showing of her incredible talent and versatility. In the short, Mette wears a stunning corset dress with oversized silver metal hook-and-eye detailing and an asymmetric drape skirt in both black and tea rose satin. On foot, the star is rocking the classic white colourway of the Sprint Runner.

The Sprint Runner, a sleeker and modernised version of a classic running sneaker, was first seen on the women’s SS22 runway. The shoes feature a laced, metal-free white leather upper and exaggerated sole. The shoes come in a variety of colourways including a clean and classic white as well as a variety of seasonal colours. All of the shoes are finished with the iconic Alexander McQueen signature and 3D Mcqueen seal.
