Beats and Ambush link up for glow-in-the-dark Powerbeats

The two brands have teamed up for an unforgettable collab, tapping Nigerian sensation Burna Boy to star in the campaign.

Yesterday (17 November) Beats by Dr. Dre and unisex Japanese fashion label Ambush announced the release of their special edition Powerbeats. Beats’ first glow-in-the-dark product, the headphones take you from day to night in style and impeccable sound. The accompanying campaign is fronted by Burna Boy, the Nigerian musical superstar lauded for his Afro-fusion sound.

Speaking of the collab, Yoon Ahn,  co-founder and Creative Director of Ambush said; “I live in the middle of Shibuya and I am always inspired by how the city just glows at night time.” Continuing, she explained; “I thought it would be really cool to design a product that could capture that same city energy when you’re outside late at night listening to music. This collaboration was designed for everyone who is confident, having fun, being creative and trying new things — those kids always seem to glow the brightest.”

Powerbeats are available at Selfridges, End Clothing, and in France, Italy and UK.
