Bella Hadid is transitioning into acting

Model, fashionista and all-around "it girl" Bella Hadid is soon making her acting debut!

The 25-year-old has landed a recurring guest star role on the third season of Hulu’s Ramy, according to The Hollywood Reporter. As of now, it’s unclear whether Hadid will be playing herself, or a character.

The Emmy-nominated show is created by Ramy Youssef and is based on the story of a first-generation American Muslim residing in New Jersey, who is navigating his faith and morals amidst new age ideals. The third season of the A24 comedy, which will be premiering on Disney+, sees Ramy abandoning his spirituality in favour of his uncle’s diamond business.

Hadid will be starring alongside Youssef, Laith Nakli, Hiam Abbass, Amr Waked, May Calamawy, Dave Merheje, Mohammed Amer and Steve Way. Last season, Ramy also offered up a fun guest spot to none other than former adult entertainer Mia Khalifa.

The supermodel has previously spoken of her desire to enter the world of acting. In a 2017 interview, as reported by WWD, Hadid said that she was going to “stick” with modelling for some time “and kind of ride it out”. “Eventually, I’ll hopefully start dabbling in acting. But I want to be able to give my full attention to one or the other.”

She even divulged what type of character she’d like to play: “I think I want to be like a superhero.”

Ramy was renewed for a third season back in 2020, but as of now, there’s no word on a premiere date.
