Beyoncé’s daughter Blue Ivy bids over $80k on a pair of diamond earrings

The 10-year-old attended the 2022 Wearable Art Gala with her parents and attempted to drop some serious cash.

On Saturday night, Blue Ivy attended the 2022 Wearable Art Gala in LA with her parents, Jay Z and Beyoncé, where she attempted to drop $80k on a pair of diamond earrings.

The gala was a family affair hosted by her grandmother Tina Knowles and the honorary co-chairs, Beyoncé and aunt Solange Knowles. Alongside the Knowles family was presenter and personality Keke Palmer who was serving as an auctioneer, presenting the Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings that Tina Knowles was wearing that night.

As the women on stage introduced the bid, the 10-year-old waved her auction paddle under the watchful eyes of her parents. She jumped up in excitement in a royal blue dress and a pair of dark sunglasses. As the audience laughed along and the price went up, Blue Ivy was eventually outbid by the founder of Mielle Organics, Monique Rodriguez and her husband Melvin, who won with an offer of $105,000.

This wasn’t the first time the pre-teen had been in a bidding battle, as her first dabble in luxury art auctioning happened at the age of 6-years-old when she bid on a $17k acrylic portrait of Sydney Poitier. Her father, Jay Z, jokingly took the paddle when the price shot up to $19k, but much to his delight, she was outbid by actor and screenwriter Tyler Perry, who won with a $20k offer. She then outbid others to secure a $10k piece by Samuel Levi Jones that night after bidding again, driving quite the hard bargain, it would seem.

Four years later, Blue Ivy has not been disheartened and continues participating in the annual luxury gala. Despite being outbid again this year, all was not lost as Beyoncé revealed the good news that she was heading on a Renaissance World Tour starting next summer. She also donated the first round of tour tickets to the charity, which sold for $150k.
