Boozers rejoice, there’s now a £1 ‘hangover cure’ pill on the market

Sunday morning just got a lot more bearable...

Wave goodbye to that throbbing, Sunday morning headache because there’s a new pill on the market that promises to make boozing less painful.

Myrkl is a pre-drinking pill that claims to be the first product in history to break down alcohol effectively. “The purpose of Myrkl is to help everyone wake up at their best the next day and to not compromise whoever they are,” the website states. “Busy professionals can enjoy a social night-out and still perform the next day. Parents can go out knowing they’ll still feel fresh the next day.”

The pill should be taken two hours before you start drinking, and reportedly works for up to 12 hours by breaking down the alcohol in the gut before it reaches the liver, thus making your hangover significantly milder. Clinical trials of the product found that people who had two pills and drank two glasses of wine had 70 per cent less booze in their blood an hour later when compared to those who didn’t take the preventative measure.

The pill is also 100 per cent natural and vegan and claims to support immunity and boost energy levels via the inclusion of B12.

It must be noted, however, that Myrkl or any hangover prevention technique cannot negate the side effects of drinking alcohol, which can include everything from dehydration to high blood pressure, liver disease, and stroke. As ever, ensure you drink lots of water and enjoy alcohol in moderation.

You’re able to purchase a 30 pack of Myrkl for £30, now.
