We’re finally back at live shows. After a few seasons of watching the shows online or having to flick through look-books to absorb the latest trends, Milan Fashion Week saw the return of IRL shows – and they didn’t disappoint.
But one of the biggest, and undeniably the most fun, was that of BOSS and the showcase of their latest collaborative collection with Russell Athletic. Here, we address some of the highlights.
On the outskirts of Milan, under the blazing Italian sun, spectators were quickly ushered into a large baseball field. Championing Americana style, the space featured concession stands with pop-corn, ice cream, burgers and shakes. Attendees were given foam fingers and encouraged to get involved in the fanfare. To further heighten the all-American feel, there was a performance from one of Italy’s finest marching bands, and a cheerleading team sophisticated enough to give Daytona a run for their money…
When it comes to the cast, BOSS tapped the modelling elite to showcase the new collection. Everyone from Gigi Hadid to Pietro Boselli could be seen walking the runway. HUNGER favourite William Franklyn Miller also made his catwalk debut. Iconically, and much to the joy of the crowd, there was a special appearance from the incredible Khaby Lame, the #1 TikTok star who is setting the social media landscape alight with his simplistic but roaringly funny videos.
And now for the most important bit. The second collection builds on the first, with more popping orange colours, varsity styles and the ultimate laidback luxury. The classic and sophisticated BOSS tailoring is merged with the laid-back and comfort of Russell Athletic. The collection features some pieces that are perfect to lounge in on a snoozy Sunday and others that are office-ready. Ultimately, each piece has a level of versatility; it can suit whatever occasion if styled correctly. This bold new venture for BOSS is undeniably a home run, and HUNGER is excited to see new life breathed into this iconic brand.
