Brushes at the Ready for James O’Riley’s VERO Takeover

Over the next fortnight, catch the makeup artist's vibrant new editorial and gain a backstage pass into the beauty world.

Originally hailing from Australia, makeup artist James O’Riley has left an indelible mark on London’s beauty scene. Known for creating flawless skin and for an innovative approach to colour, at the beginning of his career James was mentored by none other than Val Garland and has since worked for Vogue, ELLE, L’Officiel, Vanity Fair and W Magazine.

He’s also got serious fashion cred, creating looks for designers such as Karen Walker, Jonathan Saunders, Christopher Shannon and Louise Gray, and a roster of celebrity clients such as David Beckham, Helena Christensen, Winnie Harlow and Sophie Turner.

Over the next two weeks, James will be taking the keys to our VERO account to debut a new beauty story featuring sweeping eyeliner and vibrant hues to our followers, as well as giving insight into his career so far and the culture that helps inspire and motivate him.

VERO is an authentic social network — no ads, no algorithms, just great content. Go to vero.co to sign up and follow @hungermagazine for more exclusive content and to catch James’ beauty takeover, which runs until  9 April.
