Caitlin Price’s designs are a pitch-perfect fusion of couture, deconstructed tailoring and sports luxe.
For AW19 – the designer’s seventh collection – new age glamour and power dressing principles are key. Tailored woolen tracksuit trousers are worn underneath a cornflower-blue silk twill; ruffled evening skirts are elegantly finished with an elegant floor length train; romantic pearl pinks are married with shocking magentas.
Layering plays a central theme in this collection – a tricolour coat-come-gown is treated to a generous multi-layered collar in jade, whilst heavy swathes of silk are pleated endlessly into columns of bright aqua to form the body of the oversized evening coat.
Opulence and excess are examined and reworked by utilising rich colours, blended fabrics and techniques to stitch together a unique vision of contemporary woman.
