Carrie Bradshaw just hinted that a Birkenstock x Gucci collab is on the horizon

Spotted on the streets of New York City, on set for season two of the Sex and the City reboot, Sarah Jessica Parker appears to have unveiled a potential upcoming collaboration that sees Gucci partner up with Birkenstock. 

Paparazzi photos have showcased a pair of monogrammed Gucci slip-ons, highlighted by the Birkenstock Boston silhouette. Jessica Parker was seen sporting the chunky clogs alongside a tie-dye shirt, vibrant coloured cardigan and slim-fit grey sweatpants while walking down the streets of New York City.

While we all have our fingers crossed that this is an actual collab we can get our hands on, we wouldn’t jump the gun just yet, as Birkenstock are notoriously particular with their partnerships – often favouring envelope-pushing design rather than in-your-face logos. Meanwhile, an LVMH investment firm is a prominent stakeholder in Birkenstock, which would explain the lack of Birkenstock/Kering collabs (Kering being Gucci’s parent company)

For Birkenstock, recent collaborations have included the likes of Dior and Manolo Blahnik, while Gucci recently joined forces with London-based streetwear label Palace and workwear brand Dickies.

No further information regarding if the clog will be available for a wider release has been made available.
