Check out the collection reloading rave wear

King of 90s ravewear, Daniel Poole, keeps the culture alive and flourishing with his new line of industrial vests.

Fresh off the drop, Daniel Poole’s newest release is a selection of technical vests featuring neon reflective badges, detachable panels that reveal mesh linings and a shy number of SIX zip-up pockets, so you won’t lose anything, ever again.

The vests are in collaboration with Wavey Garms, the Peckham based vintage designer shop which has respectively created not only a cult following but a whole new youth sub-culture.

Originally established in 1987, Daniel Poole (DP) quickly became a staple to 90s rave wear across the globe, but the brand also transformed into something that went further than just making clothes, it became its own movement. Dressing everybody from Mary J Blige to your local lads at the jungle rave, DP represented the shared excitement of the explosion of new underground dance music, drugs and events that dominated the majority of the 1990s.

After a 20-year hiatus, DP relaunched last year following the recent resurge of rave wear and music, even present within mainstream lines where it wouldn’t have been originally accepted in the 90s. DP has kept the brand current by releasing re-works of their archive collections balancing current political narratives, a series of t-shirts made by the brand last year featured unique designs commenting on the knife crime epidemic, climate change and the uncertain future of AI in human life.

The DP x Wavey Garms collaboration is a homage and partnership between two generations, represented by the vest which is a remodel of an early 90s line and the reflective Wavey Garms patches; An appreciation of rave and underground music culture then and now.
