Coach Serves TV Gold For AW21

Megan Thee Stallion, Jennifer Lopez and Cole Sprouse appear in the house's latest campaign alongside a film and lookbook created in collaboration with Juergen Teller.

Coach has debuted Stuart Vevers’ AW21 collection for the house, “Coach Forever Season Two”. The collection was shown during a virtual live presentation, “Coach TV,” on Instagram and across other brand channels and the film and lookbook were created in collaboration with legendary photographer Juergen Teller.

Preceding the showcase were comic vignettes, written and directed by Frances Frances, that call to mind the world of VHS, family tv and some of your favourite 90s and 00s pop culture treats — from Mean Girls (keep your eyes peeled for Megan Thee Stallion’s take on Regina George) to Friends.

As well as Hot Girl Meg, the presentation features other members of the Coach Family such as (deep breath!) Jennifer Lopez, Michael B. Jordan, Kaia Gerber, Paloma Elsesser, Kiko Mizuhara, Cole Sprouse, Xiao Wen Ju, Hari Nef, Binx Walton, Jon Batiste, Cordae, Rickey Thompson, Tavi Gevinson, Wisdom Kaye, Kim Gordon, Coco Gordon Moore, KJ Apa, Julia Nobis, HyunA, Dawn, Ma Zhe and Bob the Drag Queen — as well as music by Blondie.

Telling a new story about “creature comforts,” the collection itself is inspired by the collision of our indoor and outdoor worlds thanks to the pandemic. Clothes-wise, it features layered and loose silhouettes, plush oversized shearling coats and leather jackets created in collaboration with the American outerwear brand Schott NYC. For those of us who can’t get enough of cutesy critters, a charming menagerie of animals are embroidered on ready-to-wear and accessories. Finally, delivering on Coach’s reputation for outstanding bags, the collection includes a reimagination of the house’s Rogue carryall.
