Dive into FILA and Melissa’s immersive new exhibition

This is the ultimate throwback.

In the embrace of all things 90s, the last few years have seen a FILA renaissance. The brand’s Disruptor trainers are now ubiquitous, with their recent collection with Fendi representing the ultimate high-low mash-up.

Now they’ve teamed up with Brazilian shoe brand Melissa, to bring a stylish spin to one of our favourite childhood hangouts – the ball pit. Can it get any more 90s?

Prepare to lose your phone, keys, change and pretty much everything else in your pockets as you dive into the giant foam pit which is now open in the basement of Galeria Melissa in Covent Garden.

Filled with huge lettered blocks, you are invited to create an Insta sensation by making your own statement while you’re there.  The space is surrounded by a specially created video art installation by artist and longterm Melissa collaborator, Natalia Stuyk and unlike the ball pits we used to mess around in,  it’s totally free and you can stay as long as you like!

The installation marks the launch of the new Melissa + FILA capsule collection full of suitably nostalgic pieces including bum bags, sliders and sneakers.

The Melissa + FILA installation will be at Galeria Melissa in London until the end of May.
