California Cool: Say hello to tie-dye 2.0

Averse to technicolour brights and hyper-graphic tailoring? Think again.

Rainbow tie-dye was the print du jour print on the catwalk for SS19, as exemplified from the likes of Eckhaus Latta and Prada to R13. The 2k19 take on the Cali-cool trend is more grown up this season – less haphazard, 70s-vibes. Whether injecting a bolt of colour and pattern into a pant suit or chic evening dress or opting for a muted palette spectrum (Dior showcased a dazzling collection of floaty tie-dye dresses, featuring kaleidoscopic prints mixed together or layered with hand-painted flowers) the trend is more accessible than meets the eye. Below is HUNGER’s pick of the labels nailing the new age tie-dye.
