Emporio Armani’s off duty cool is bombastically brilliant

This season’s SS20 collection has taken an otherworldly turn remixing Armani’s classic tailoring in a peculiar fabric range to create effortlessly staggering, off duty  characters.

For years Mr. Armani has been taken to the labs to give up renewed, subverted offering of the tailored classics, from fabrications to colour confections. This season’s SS20 collection has taken an otherworldly turn remixing Armani’s classic tailoring in a peculiar fabric range to create effortlessly staggering, off duty  characters. Flyway trousers, parachute jackets draping about the body attached by single step harnesses and fly-suits in sheer variants; the course saw us through through earth tones with luminous underscores and and accentuated by chunky goofed trainers. In true Armani fashion, we were not shot of choice.

With 96 looks, every character that descended the runway possessed a sensibility far different to the others. From frosted tip, naughties boyband member in baggy knitwear over acid dye jogging bottoms; high shine, shimmer linen suits worn topless and lime and emerald pocket scarves, wispy- wet- ish hair and apricot lensed- square framed aviators; a quirkier salmon suit in patchy dye complete with cinched fuchsia belting and chunky trainer and voluminous black tote with leather handles. Mr. Armani knows just how good he is, they say less is more, but, from him, more is more.
