A colourful mash-up of two retro super brands, as Fiorucci and Adidas originals’ unveil their first collaboration.
The vibrant, 80s-inspired campaign (reminiscent of Elio Fiorucci’s iconic ads), shot by Parisian photographer Jean-Pacôme Dedieu, highlights the bold new collection in all its glory. Think playful disco-ready partywear – with more stripes.
On the two brands joining forces, Janie and Stephen Schaffer, Fiorucci’s joint CEOs share their excitement: “adidas is the most recognisable brand in the world. FIORUCCI was always known for its vast graphic history and emphasis on fun and colour. To bring these two brands together looks completely unique and is the perfect take on heritage athleisure.” For the duo, both houses are “authentic brands who have been trailblazers over the years.”
Speaking on the collection, Ebru Ecron, adidas Originals Senior Design Director, explains “the inspiration behind the collection draws very naturally on the vibrant, exciting and ever changing Fiorucci visuals paired with classic feminine adidas silhouettes and materials. The goal was to create a fresh summer collection that reinterprets adidas through an energetic and carefree female lens.”
The adidas Meets Fiorucci collection will be available globally on February 15th.
