A fave of Barbie fans already is the Aldo X Barbie collection – and we can see why. The limited-edition pieces feature accessories galore, but the standout has to be their ‘Barbiestessy’ stilettos which are so reminiscent of our plastic childhood pair, we can already feel ourselves clip-clopping around the house like we were four years old again. The pair are hot-pink translucent with the classic bedazzled monogram across one side, and the other bearing a sparkly heart. They may not be out until the 29th of June, but we’ll be dreaming about the perfect accessory wardrobe courtesy of Aldo until then.
Candyfloss pink vinyl
There are a number of Barbie soundtrack vinyl editions circling the internet, and online users are already picking their faves. With a clear pink splatter and pink bloom amongst the variants, a fan fave is currently the candyfloss pink version from Target, which sports a record hue almost good enough to eat. It’s everything Barbie would have wanted and is sure to make your dance parties ten times sweeter.
Ruggable
If you had the Barbie Dreamhouse, then you know how important good interiors are when making sure your Barbie was as pimped out as possible. The homeware company Ruggable has produced a collection of carpets that would make Raquelle extremely enviable, with the bold, joyful designs coming in washable and stain-resistant materials. The options include a super on-brand hot-pink ombre number, with ‘Barbie’ logo doormats, and other accompanying muted tones in case you have already out-pinked your room to the max.
Impala Lightspeed Roller Skates
There may be a lot of careers that Barbie has tried her hand at (including teachers, doctors, chefs, and even a dolphin trainer), but our favourite was when she tried her hand at rollerskating. And it seems to be director Gerwig’s too, as sneak peeks show Margot Robbie skating down the beachfront in a bright graphic two-piece. Now, you too can live out your Roller Barbie dreams with a pair of Impala Lightspeed inline blades. Bright yellow, they are lined with comfy pink material and a pair of bubblegum laces, complete with the Barbie logo across the side.
Moon Oral Beauty Toothbrush
Ever wished you could crack a smile as bright as Barbie’s pearly whites? Thanks to Moon Oral Beauty, you now can. The hot pink electric brush comes with a replenishment subscription for the head and is up to 120 times more powerful than a regular handheld toothbrush. The set includes official Barbie movie packaging – putting the likes up with one of the nichest must-have collector’s items yet.
Swoon Lemonade
Keeping in with the Barbie brand, you can now get the dollified lemonade drink by Swoon, which is described as “naturally sweet” (of course). With a hint of monk fruit, the aptly pink lemonade also donates 10% of the net sales to the Dream Gap Project _ an initiative that aims to give girls the resources and support they need to continue to believe that they could be anything. Barbie Swoon lemonade is for sure the drink of the summer!
Xbox console Dreamhouse
This week, the gaming company Xbox announced a series of Barbie-related promotions, with the star of the show being a one-of-a-kind Xbox Series S built into a Barbie Dreamhouse. A matching Barbie and Ken couples Wireless Controller faceplates are also included, in a range of super cute patterns that sit on the top floor of the Dreamhouse, right on top of the hot pink console. To get your hands on the set, you can try your luck in the giveaway on the 10th of July on the company’s Twitter account.
Forza Horizon 5 Pink 1956 Chevrolet Corvette
Looking for something a bit more available? If you’re a fan of the Forza Horizon 5 game, and looking to live out your Barbie gamer girl career, you can now pick up Barbie’s pink 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV or Ken’s 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. The pair are available to download at the game’s Message Center completely free of charge and will be followed by a live stream of races “from the World of Barbie” on the 14th of July. Even better still, the likes will be accompanied by career testimonials from the women designers who have worked on the game.
The Air-Barbie-B
Easily the most random, but perhaps the best of all the Barbie-related commodities has to be this hefty chunk of real estate – nearly as good as the Dreamhouse itself. The refurbished place returns to Airbnb offering overnight stay for a limited time only. Located in Malibu (duh), the panoramic views invite guests to book Ken’s very own bedroom for two. There’s a mega Barbie DJ booth that takes centre stage, and three floors jam-packed with Mattel-inspired interiors. Guests will be able to book their stay from the 17th of July at 10 am, with a one-time donation being made to Save the Children. Race you there!
