You might think that Halloween is a holiday designed for trick-and-tricking school kids, but you’d be greatly mistaken. Spooky season has been co-opted by celebrities as a competitive sport of sorts, with those pulling out the most Instagrammable costume winning the weekend headlines.
As far as costumes go, this year proved to be a mixed bag. Pink was the overall shade of the weekend, with Greta Gerwig’s Barbie providing endless inspiration. With many a Barbie descending from their DreamHouse, it’s no great surprise to learn the doll was the most searched Halloween costume of the year, as reported by Google Trends’s Frightgeist.
However, there were plenty of other get-ups to shout about. From Paris Hilton’s ‘Toxic’ take on Britney Spears to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly slaying it as Kill Bill characters, we’ve rounded up the best celebrity Halloween costumes of 2023.
