Good Health Good Wealth are very online

HUNGER slides into the duo's DMs to talk memes, dial-up and Daniel Bedingfield.

Want to know who you’ll be listening to this year? Let us introduce you to London-based alternative duo Good Health Good Wealth. Drawing on influences like N.E.R.D and Baxter Dury, vocalist Bruce Breakey and guitarist Simon Kuzmickas pair spoken word flows over animated riffs for a genreless sound that calls to mind artists like Hak Baker and slowthai.

Today they’ve released their debut single “Love Hangover” — an ode to the weekend escapism and ill-advised after parties we’ve all been sorely missing since lockdown hit. Speaking of the track, Bruce explains: “it’s about that feeling after a night you probably didn’t even want to be at, and having your girl there the next day who’s the only cure.”

To celebrate the song’s release, we slid into Bruce and Simon’s DMs to chat memes, dial-up and Daniel Bedingfield.

@simondooooooooooooooooooooo: Please take it away from me forever and give me back my Phillips DIGA.

@brucebreakey: In lockdown about 37 seconds.

@hungermagazine: Favourite meme?

@simondooooooooooooooooooooo: Never let them know your next step
