Grecian busts, pigs and Harry Styles: all you need to know about Gucci’s latest campaign

I dare you to scroll down Alessandro Michele’s Instagram feed and get bored... You cannot.

Fashion’s latest (or rather more continuous) buzz is Harry Styles: he gives us flare and androgyny goals even Bowie would be jealous of. And now, Gucci have picked him up for another campaign, which is just as good as the last, only this time there’s piglets. It seems like “dad” Alessandro has everlasting love for his “son” Harry: we’ve saw them at the Met Gala earlier this month where the duo pulled off some serious custom Gucci ensembles.

The campaign, shot by cult director Harmony Korine, fronts Harry Styles in Alessandro Michele’s Pre-Fall 2019 tailoring, and it couldn’t be any Gucci-er! The atmosphere was set by a Byronic house replica (you could tell from all those relics), which certainly sums up Alessandro’s ageless eclecticism.

The looks feature a blend of sailor-esque details (watch out for the stripy, royal navy-blue toned t-shirts), radiant sets of bandanas alongside dashing, preppy and typical nerdy tailoring (utterly ‘guccified’ by a glowing colourway.) Timeless suits meet on brand palettes, bringing together the old and the new seamlessly yet again. What’s not to love?
