HAIM captures the 2020 festive mood

Struggling to get into your festive feels? You're not alone.

HAIM have had a big year, releasing blockbuster album Women in Music Pt. III, which has been named one of the best albums of the year by critics. But it seems like the sisters are officially *over* 2020 – at least if their new festive single “Christmas Wrapping 2020 (all I want for christmas is a vaccine)” is anything to go by.

With a little help from musician Thundercat and playwright Jeremy O. Harris, who both contribute lyrics, the trio have put their own spin on 1981 classic single “Christmas Wrapping”, peppering their track with references to 2020’s main activities: TikTok, day-drinking and sleeping. Sound about right, tbh.

A word to the wise:  this isn’t the first time HAIM have celebrated the holiday season; in 2017 they released a track celebrating Hannukah (or as they put it, “Haimukkah”) on social media.
