HUNGER’s MVP of the week

Welcome to HUNGER’s Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what’s hot, what’s not, and what needs to be on your radar…

To kick things off, everyone in fashion seems to be wearing their iPhones across their bodies these days. Our fave pick for this trend is Yoshida & Co., Ltd.‘s PORTER brand, which has built on its baggage expertise to bring us an iPhone shoulder strap case, aptly titled the “SHOULDER Air Jacket with POUCH.” It’s specifically designed for the Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, and is meant to be worn across the body, so it’s safe to boot.

If you’re looking for an activity, which you can pair with a tipple (or two), Bombay Sapphire has brought back their Art of Surprise classes that ran throughout June. Partnering with a London-based art studio yet again, the next class will be taking place on Wednesday 13 July at 6 pm at MasterPeace Studio, London. The evening brings together our two favourite things: creativity and gin, and the surprise element of the class means that those who secure one of the 20 tickets for the class will be asked to take a leap of faith, as the details of the class will only be revealed 24 hours before. Oh, and there will be a G&T bar, naturally. Purchase tickets here.

And last, but certainly not least, is the news of Boris’ resignation! Here at HUNGER, we’ve been covering the news avidly. Why not check out our op-ed about his remarkably tone-deaf resignation speech? Our HUNGER 24 cover star, Labour MP Zarah Sultana also spoke to us exclusively about the news. This weekend, let’s raise a glass to the hope of a more democratic, and inclusive government going forward.
