HUNGER’s MVP of the week
Welcome to HUNGER's Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what's hot, what's not, and what needs to be on your radar…
Kicking off this week’s MVP is Timberland’s latest global campaign, Built for the Bold. The campaign is a call out for all those adventurers out there who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. The campaign brings together the world of work, outdoors and lifestyle and champions a diverse range of change-makers. This includes songwriter Arlo Parks, rapper IDK, musician Shugga and many more. Meanwhile, at the centre of the campaign is the one and only Mary J Blige.
Next up we’ve got British photographer, Jermaine Francis with his latest poignant exhibition, A Storied Ground. The exhibition displays a series of photographs and texts that question “who is considered a natural inhabitant of the British landscape” and challenges white ownership by centring black bodies in those spaces. Through this exhibition Francis “challenges and invites the viewer to regard the black body within the landscape as neutral and with agency.” A Storied Ground runs from September 29th to November 18th, 2022 at Galerie PCP, Paris.
As the storms begin and the heatwave ends, we’ve got something that’ll certainly help protect you from the temperamental weather. Introducing this week’s MVP, Early Majority’s Summer Kit, a two-in-one piece consisting of a Sun Shirt and Anorak. The Summer Kit provides an Anorak that will protect you from the cold, wind and rain whilst also providing a Sun Shirt for those slightly calmer, warmer moments. There’s also the added bonus of an Early Majority lifetime membership with every purchase, meaning you’ll get exclusive access to drops and much much more.
