HUNGER’s MVP of the week

Welcome to HUNGER's Most Valuable Player, the place to find the best things to buy, watch, do or listen to each week. Forget about the hype, we want to separate what's hot, what's not, and what needs to be on your radar…

The North Face is opening this week’s MVP with the launch of its 92 Retro Anniversary Nuptse. The cosy winter must-have comes in three iconic colours and patterns inspired by The North Face Fall 1992 catalogue to celebrate its 30th Anniversary. Brought to life from archival designs, the commemorative 92 Nuptse includes an original yoke and additional baffling, a 1992 patch on the right sleeve and an internal panel with the Fall 1992 catalogue cover and Nuptse origin story. The 92 Retro Anniversary Nuptse is available in select The North Face stores and online here.

Next up, the digital world and fashion combine once more for a wonderfully wacky collection. This time, it’s British fashion house Marc Jacques Burton (MJB) who has teamed up with popular multiplayer shooter, Overwatch 2. For the collab, MJB created a high fashion collection centred around the game’s four key heroes – each having an everyday look and hero look. Featuring neon splashes, spiked hoodies and lightning printed Kimonos, you’ll never have a dull moment with this collection. The MJB X Overwatch 2 collection is available now to shop online at both Selfridges and MJB.

Of course, to go along with your new winter garms, you’ll need a stylish yet functional accessory. And high-fashion cult streetwear brand Aries and Berlin-based fashion tech label XOUXOU have just what you’re looking for with the phone accessory of the year. The collaboration sees Aries water transfer an exotic green snake print on XOUXOU’s durable PC iPhone case, stamped with a statement 18K stainless steel gold co-branded logo. XOUXOU’s staple detachable woven rope is paired with Aries’ oversized gold carabiner and chunky gold chain, allowing you to style your phone multiple ways as a pocket chain, necklace, bracelet or even as a bag for a night out – ensuring your hands are kept free at all times. The collection is available now to shop online.

Closing out this week’s MVP is a festive treat you won’t want to miss. In the spirit of the holiday season, Moët & Chandon is hosting a series of Effervescent Celebrations in more than 20 cities around the world: a global dialogue bringing people together with joy in Sydney, Hong Kong, Johannesburg, London, Milan, Madrid, Amsterdam, Paris, Mexico City, Manhattan and more. This year, Moët & Chandon has commissioned the creation of a public sculpture, ‘Your Voices’, by British contemporary artist Es Devlin, installed on Lincoln Center’s Josie Robertson Plaza. The kinetic sculpture, which debuts on December 6th, is formed of 700 glowing cords expressing 700 of the many languages currently spoken in New York City: from Algerian Arabic, Alsation, Azeri and Ashanti to Zapotec, Zarma and Zulu. If you can’t make it to New York, not to worry, London will also be getting its own Effervescent experience. Tucked away in the city’s iconic luxury retailer, Harrods, is the Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar, the brand’s largest standalone bar in Europe, offering the widest portfolio of rarities, vintage and signature wines. As if that wasn’t enough, this season also sees the launch of a new bookable Champagne Tower experience under the bar’s shimmering chandelier inspired by the effervescence of the famed champagne.
